Rent + Watch Information

Rentals start at

$16.00 per short film rental

$28.00 per short film bundle

$19.00 per feature film rental

$39.00 per feature film bundle package

You may rent or gift one film (feature or short), as well as being able to rent multiple individual titles. It is also acceptable to rent combinations of individual films and also rent additional bundle packages, as well as multiple bundle packages.

Bundle packages have unique sets of films (usually between 5-8 short films and between 2-4 feature films.

You will have two days to watch your rented program – with the watch window starting at the time you unlock the program. Most film festival movies available to watch will only be available during a 2-3 week window (generally beginning immediately after the in-person festival concluded), so make sure to unlock the program and begin your rental before the On Demand Season window closes for the festival film you are interested in.

Viewing Your Rented Films

All of the films you have rented will be visible to see on the streaming platform through your account, with each film’s available viewing dates listed. Each purchase detail from your account will also be listed under your account login. Films and film programs are able to be viewed as many times as desired within the allotted viewing period. On occasion, certain Special Release films may only be allowed one viewing per rental – in these cases, this will be announced on your account page after logging in.

Do I Need An Account?

Yes. You will be prompted to create an account when trying to rent any title. Your account will save your purchase history and allow you to see all of the content available and dates each film and bundle is available for viewing.

How Do I Watch Films?

Watch via our OCTV website. Content can only be purchased through the website and after logging in to your account, you are able to watch purchased content.

How Long Can I Watch Rentals For?

FILMS

You will have two days to watch your rented program – with the watch window starting at the time you unlock the program.

BUNDLES

You will have three days to watch your rented bundle program – with the watch window

ON DEMAND – SEASON SCREENING WINDOW

Most film festival movies available to watch will only be available during a 2-3 week window (generally beginning immediately after the in-person festival concluded), so make sure to unlock the program and begin your rental before the On Demand Season window closes for the festival film you are interested in.

These limited windows exist because Festival Films are brand new to the market and are often seeking distribution deals and have not been released yet for streaming or theatrical viewing – that’s why our films are so special and rare – our screenings are first peek VIP special screening events. Due to this films are only allowed to stay up for a very limited time – to protect against piracy as well as to create limited availability buzz and hype for the project’s future wide-release distribution.

Can I Download My Rental?

No. Films on OCTV will never be made available for download.

All Films, Shorts, Bundles, and all other content is only available to stream through our platform and for a very limited time only.

How To Gift A Rental?

If you have chosen to gift an OCTV rental to someone, follow the instructions below:

Once on the screening page for a single film rental, if the film or bundle is available to rent, click on the “give as gift’ button. This button is located underneath the ‘unlock’ now button.

Next enter the details of the giftee to complete the transaction. You must be located in the USA or Canada to purchase a RENT + GIFT.

What Countries Is OCTV Available?

OCTV streamfest film film programming is currently available across all of the United States of America and Canada.

OCTV is also available in select countries for certain film screenings, programs, and bundles.

What Currencies Do You Accept?

OCTV rentals are in US dollars.

What Devices Can I Use?

OCTV is intended for single-household access. More than one device can be logged in at once to watch different content simultaneously.

Public Screening Policy?

The purchase of rental is for private purposes only and does not include a commercial license. These rentals are for the at-home use of individuals, families or small gatherings under 15 people.

The films on the OCTV platform are festival films in the process of holding their own public screening events in conjunction with the OCIFF. These limited screening events are part of targeted publicity campaigns for these films, and any unauthorized public screenings are expressly forbidden and will be countered with legal action toward stopping any such event.

Can I See These Films In Cinemas?

Most OCTV films are on this platform because they have already been selected, honored, and screened at Movie Theaters across Southern California, as part of the Orange County Independent Film Festival.

Hopefully all OCTV films will find broad cinema distribution across the country and the world over the upcoming year – so keep your eyes peeled.

But the best chance to see these films would be about a month before they are available to rent on OCTV.
